§01 · Pathway scope

Water electrolysis is calibrated. Everything else is reserved.

At launch H₂VALIS calculates production for PEM, AEL and SOEC. The remaining hydrogen production families appear in the workspace as reserved — coefficients not yet calibrated — so the interface does not silently apply electrolyser equations to reforming, gasification, pyrolysis or biological routes.

Calibrated at launch

PEMCalculated

Proton Exchange Membrane

Fast dynamic response, high current density

AELCalculated

Alkaline Electrolysis

Mature, lowest CAPEX at scale

SOECCalculated

Solid Oxide Electrolyser Cell

High-temperature; requires heat source input

Reserved — not yet calibrated

Interfaces are prepared; calculation stays disabled until source-specific evidence is incorporated.

Transport modes

Shipping is intentionally benchmark-only: one ship is not equal to N trucks — it introduces terminals, carrier conversion, storage, boil-off, voyage time and reconversion boundaries that require separate calibration.
